Prayer

Prayer is one of the fundamental necessities of the Christian faith, it’s one of the ways in which we have fellowship with the Lord, by communicating with Him through prayer. Prayer is simply talking to Him, as with a friend. It’s a two-way street, talking and listening. In prayer we manifest humility, reverence, hope, trust and gratitude to God for His love for us. We can pray by ourselves and with others. Jesus said in Matthew 18:20, “For where two or three gather in my name, there am I with them.”

During these uncertain times, our heavenly Father has provided us means to communicate with others, be it via phone or internet. There are endless possibilities to connect with people whether it’s WhatsApp, zoom or one of the other, many apps.

“Do not be anxious about anything, but in everything by prayer and supplication with thanksgiving let your requests be made known to God.” – Philippians 4:3

“Rejoice always, pray without ceasing, give thanks in all circumstances; for this is the will of God in Christ Jesus for you.” – 1 Thessalonians 5:16-18

“He regards the prayer of the destitute and does not despise their prayer.” – Psalm 102:17
